Ostozhenka Street

Ostozhenka appeared on the site of an ancient road that led from the Kievan Russia to the Vladimiro- Suzdalskaya Rus; The Moscow river crossing lay side by side with the Crimean ford (which is now the elegant Crimean bridge). Over the centuries it has won the name of the most expensive, prestigious and fashionable street in the city. Every ancient house here keeps its own secrets, and new buildings are amazing in their magnificence. The renovated Cathedral of Christ the Saviour marks the beginning of Ostozhenka, which then runs into the Komsomolsky Prospect. This district is known for abundant cosy restaurants and cafes.
